The opposition has started getting loud again but I am still responding to every email and attending every meeting I can manage. It is exhausting work to defend these rules but I am not walking away from this yet.

Seeing this level of support confirms that my neighbors care as much about the neighborhood as I do. The opposition is loud and persistent but this momentum proves we are not alone in wanting a safer street.

As someone who has seen enough near misses with kids, I am all for the new rules. I know we will have to play the shuffle game at some pint but it's a small price to pay for the safety of the children of the neighborhood.

I am in favor of no street parking. I have reread the rules and they seem reasonable to me. The rules allow parking on the street while visiting a neighbor and they even allow parking in front of your home if less than 1 hour. One person suggested that if you park in front of your home for a very short time perhaps flashing emergency lights could exempt you, that may be a good idea.

When streets are cluttered with cars this affects my safety and privacy. Driveways and garages should be utilized properly before streets due to lack of lack of space in our village. We have had several car robberies in the past and negligent parking in front of other people's homes and mailboxes also.

We have to shuffle cars too every day, but we like that better than cars parked everywhere.

The rules are needed. And as any rule it needs to be enforced widely but smartly.
