We just had our town of Uxbridge, MA "special town meeting" on this past Sat April 2nd and we voted (and won) not to open the door to invite EMI and a proposed 1000 gigawatt plant just down the road from Burrillville on rte 122 Millville Rd in Uxbridge, MA... Just next door to the Blackstone River.... It is very interesting to hear from some Uxbridge residents how "lucky" the town of Burrillville is to have their power plant.... I am and have been betting that there are a lot of Burrillville residents and neighboring residents that would disagree... We are still even now hearing from many Uxbridge residents who are terribly upset that we lost our "cash cow" for the town.... Including many town officials who are apparently very pro power plant here and quite disappointed...

We are already paying to much with the pumping station and effects of we'll water contamination. Why must the state of Rhode Island and citizens of Burrilliville keep giving. I will fight for this town till companies stop thinking they can buy us with their donations.

How are they going to guarentee taking water from the contaminated well will be 100 pecent safe.they cant.that alone should be enough to stop it

There are countless brown field areas already ravaged by industrial expansion that could accommodate this power plant. Near the harbor for gas, cooling and fuel oil.
Storing 2 million gallons of fuel oil and 40 thousand gallons of amonia in this pristine woodlands is asinine.

Our town is built on our lakes and rivers. There is no point in increasing our tax revenue if we lose the town.

I'm all about creating more jobs but not like this. This power plant is going to ruin people's and animals homes alike. People have spent their entire lives working to build their homes in burrillville and my heart goes out to them. How are we in the year 2016 and still aren't going solar?

Placing this plant in Burrillville is like shatterit God's country. We are farmers, dreamers and believers that take pride in our land and clean air. Taking this away from Burrillvilians is taking away what defines us a people.

I, Maria Fidrych do NOT support this power plant going up in my home town of burrillville. I like the quiet country atmosphere and do not want something this ugly, powerful, and disturbing of our peace going up. It is going to ruin value of homes in this area and I am fully against it for many reasons.
