GW2 players from South America have suffered from lag and the lack of proper translation for years, hindering the real number of people intersted in playing. SA server and translation is the bare minimum that should be done for us!

With the shift towards action combat, South American servers will matter even more. As a Guild Wars 2 player, I can say with certainty that I will not play the upcoming game without SA servers. Latency has a direct impact on gameplay quality, especially in action combat, and the region should not be overlooked.

The Brazilian community would respectfully like to ask ArenaNet to consider launching Guild Wars 3 with, at the very least, Brazilian Portuguese text localization (UI, subtitles, and in-game text).
Brazil is one of the largest gaming markets in the world and has maintained an active Guild Wars 2 player base for many years, despite the complete lack of Portuguese localization and the absence of local servers. Many Brazilian players have continued to support the game, create content, strengthen communities, and introduce Tyria to new players, even while facing a significant language barrier.
Guild Wars 3 represents a unique opportunity to expand the franchise's reach in a market that has historically received little attention. While we understand that localized servers and full voice acting require substantial investment, Brazilian Portuguese text localization is a far more accessible measure that could have a significant impact on player acquisition and retention throughout the region.
The lack of Portuguese support has always been one of the main barriers preventing Guild Wars from reaching a broader audience in Brazil. Providing at least translated subtitles, UI, and in-game text would demonstrate that ArenaNet recognizes the potential of this market and is willing to invest in its growth.
Portuguese is the fourth most spoken language in the world, with approximately 260 million native speakers globally. Brazil alone accounts for the vast majority of this audience and represents the largest gaming market in Latin America, as well as one of the most significant digital and technology markets worldwide. The Brazilian gaming industry generates billions of reais in revenue every year and continues to experience steady growth, driven by a large, engaged, and increasingly connected player base. Considering the size of both the Portuguese-speaking audience and the Brazilian gaming market, Brazilian Portuguese localization represents not only an accessibility i

Dedicated South American servers or optimized regional infrastructure;
Full Brazilian Portuguese localization;
Official communication and support for Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking players;
Recognition of the South American community as an important part of Guild Wars’ future.
