To: U.S. Vice-President Biden with respect:
We the undersigned strenuously urge you to rid the U.S. of semi-automatic assault weapons, magazines with over ten-round capacity, and all armor-piercing ammunition.
Further, we request that every part in every gun be stamped with the same identification number, and that those numbers are registered with the name of the purchaser in a federal database. This applies to every weapon sold or resold.
Moreover, we ask that the original sale and every resale-whether commercially or privately-of every weapon in the U.S, is taxed at the local, state, and federal level.
Hunters and sports persons don't need thirty rounds to kill a deer, or a moose, or a bear. If they do, they need glasses not semi-automatic weapons. They surely do not need armor-piercing ammunition. These animals are not equipped with armor. The possession of these weapons and ammunition must be reserved for our military and law-enforcement agents.
We don't claim to know everything, and we acknowledge that there are many sides in this conversation. However, we are on the side of life, and we do know that the above proposals are not an infringement on liberty or The Second Amendment.
Enough is enough. My kids should be able to go to school without us worrying about these military weapons. Nobody needs a hundred round mag to go hunting.
