Dear Senator Toomey,
The students of the University of Pennsylvania want to express our deep concern over the regulation of gun sales in our nation. Based on recent events, we demand long overdue comprehensive gun reform, including a ban on the sale of bump stocks that facilitated the Las Vegas massacre. Bump stocks provide individuals access to automatic weapons that can fire 9 rounds per seconds and 400 rounds per minutes, a speed that should only be allowed on a battlefield and has little hunting utility. Every year, mass shootings in the United States become more deadly and common sense gun reform can help prevent them. Over 90% of Americans support background checks for gun buyers and 57% believe that guns are too easy to buy. This issue is a disgrace for our country and demands to be addressed immediately. We are asking you to protect our future and to prevent future tragedies. Do we have to wait until the next Sandy Hook, Orlando, or Las Vegas?
We demand:
- Background check requirements on private gun sales of rifles and shotguns.
- Prohibition of bump stocks.
- Require gun ownership licenses.
Facts:
- Gun homicide rates in the US are 25.2 times higher than other high-income countries.
- The overall firearm death rate in the United States is 10 times higher than other high-income countries.
- Connecticut’s permit-to-purchase handgun law is associated with a 40% drop in firearm homicide rates.

In the recent events regarding gun violence, I believe that we need to pass common sense legislation that protects people's life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Too many people are dying due to the relaxed gun laws that help the NRA to become wealthier at the expense of our safety.
Please let us stop this insanity...How can any human being let this continue...This means there has to be some political changes made in order to try and right all of the wrongs that have resulted in so many horrific death(s)...How is it that the government allows our children to die without fixing this mess? When faced with a gunman in her school The little Amish girl years ago...Pleaded "Shoot Me First" so she would not have to see her friends killed - That Is Not Acceptable !!!
I believe that gums can affect people and gums can make things that you never want to see people show have gums permission at the age of 25 why because of the time people now they life and they are no dump to do something bad like go to a school and kill people or kill little kids does people need to go to jail Donald trump said the he will this country better but he is not doing the only thing the Donald trump is doing is making U.S.A the worse country by let people of 17 years to have gums that is in illegal because that is not right because the only thing the Donald trump is doing is the let people died because he is saying the in Florida people can have gums in the age of 17 the is not right because the will not help the country but is Donald trump want to have a better country he need to change the laws to not have gums if he don't want to see people did he need to change the laws

I believe that young people cloud not buy a any gun Because gun is bad and it can hurt people. Life is important then gun . only age 20 or order people can buy because they can understand about gun.

How can you stop Sandy Hook, Orlando, Or Las Vegas from trying to make a better future for the people that are getting kill, by the gun law that you all are putting . This is a issue that need to be addressed immediately. Because I don't want to go to school one day to see my friends dead on the ground with the smell of blood of the people that you were going to protect. I am be 13 but I can see that you care more about money then the lives of the people that voted on you.
