I am a elected member of Keighley Town Council, within the Bradford District in West Yorkshire. Town and Parish Councils do a lot of good for local residents and I have seen that first hand since being elected myself. I have relatives living in Guiseley and I believe the area needs the installation of a lower level of representative democracy which is closer to the people than Leeds City Council.

We feel that the A65 road needs sorting out as Guiseley is now grid locked every wek especially at week ends making life difficult for residents to get about. This is just one very important detail that needs looking into. No more houses either are needed they will just block up the roads even more.

Guiseley has been swamped with more and more housing without any investment in its infrastructure and with its residents having no say on matters such as this which have had a major effect on the town and its ability to function.
