Happy to sign this petition. GTHL should be embarassed it has gotten this far. I am sure that it hurts the families and kids on the team but this B/S shouldn't happen to a non playoff team.

I often feel embarrassed to be volunteering for the GTHL myself, too many rules and procedures that have little/no impact - but the players are what matters.

This decision by the GTHL is grossly unfair. By their own admission they agree the players and parents had "no responsibility" yet "they must pay the price" I would suggest this is an extremely harsh punishment and these boys should be allowed to play in the playoffs.

A clerical\administrative error that is no fault of these young men is causing them to lose out on their season? How is this in any way a positive and proper way to operate. I can not believe there has to be a petition for something so trivial and easily remedied.

GTHL should have noticed the paperwork not being filed right in September/October when the games started. Families pay fees to the GTHL to protect our kids and run the league, how did it take so long for them to notice that the paperwork was not correct? Game sheets are filed every game with the trainers name listed. In my opinion, this is more a GTHL mistake and oversight, as they are paid to check on the standards they have put into place. How can they take it out on the team when they are at fault for not catching it right away!!! We all make mistakes, this is definitely not the way to show leadership to the associations that deal with them. If the team is being dealt with so drastically, what is the GTHL's punishment for not catching this right away?

Minor hockey is toxic enough already. Don’t penalize the kids when they didn’t do anything wrong.
