We had a similar situation. 2008 Leaside Flames Atom team, were stripped 10 points, losing us the Kraft Cup. Coach banned for 10 games, down from 20 on appeal. 5 games into the season, WE contacted the GTHL to say we had made a mistake and not rostered one of our players. The player in question, his father, was the president of the Leaside hockey association. It was an honest mistake by a new manager. The kid lived two blocks from the rink, and the father was the president. Didn't matter. The boys hammered. Gook luck with this. You are doing the right thing.

This is typical of this league.
OMHA is the same.
These people in charge get paid to much and cause grief for parents.

If there was an illegal player playing, this would be understandable but it’s an administrative mistake. Reinstate the team to be allowed to play in the playoffs

While I understand that this is a "team" sport, and the league/team should be aware of all the rules, it is unfair to penalize the kids for an honest mistake.

What an absolutely crazy punishment. Maybe the board should put themselves in that position as a young player and see how it would feel for them.

This has nothing to do with winning or losing. Fine the organization not the players.
