GTHL Let Them Play

Who was prejudiced by this unintentional error and who is served by this decision? This is a failure of the GTHL to understand its mandate. I doubt you could find a single person in the hockey community who would agree that the imposed penalty was fair in the circumstances. The child players are the pointless victims.

this is absolutely disgusting on the part of the GTHL. don't take that away from the kids. they work too hard for a simple paperwork mistake

Punishing the players for an administrative error is not right. Hopefully the GTHL can correct this!

For starters, if the presence of this trainer had no measurable effect on the games’ outcomes, this shouldn’t be the penalty. For the sake of the youngsters, please reconsider…

I really hope the league reverses this decision and lets the Rattlers compete for the championship. This is an incredibly sad story. The players don’t deserve any punishment here.

These kids won’t be kids for long. Hockey is an instrumental part of building confidence and character. Don’t punish kids that have nothing to do with this!

These actions are draconian and completely unnecessary. We GTHL families deserve better than this from the league that we all prop up with all that we pay into it. Show some respect to the families, the sport and most of all the players, GTHL.

Very unfair to punish the boys for an honest mistake. This ruling only shows the power of the organization and does not demonstrate the spirit of sportsmanship.

Be about the players not your pockets for a change. Punish the organization for not filling the proper paperwork not the players. Remember who the adults are here

Being the grandparents of a double A hockey player on a Mississauga team I truly feel this punishment is too far reaching . The players who have trained and worked hard all season should not be the ones to suffer . You have complete autonomy to change this harsh and unfair ruling . This is the way to ensure other children will not be interested in joining a league should the outcome not change . Please punish those who should be punished not the innocent .
