We oppose the current transportation proposal as part of the proposed FY 2010 Budget cuts, FCPS is considering eliminating transportation to Gifted and Talented centers when Level IV services are
provided at the base school. This would cause particular hardship to the students of working families.
The budget committee is ignoring the impact this cut has on working families. Email your school board representative today to demand they keep our buses running. Tell them that transportation is not a luxury for these students.

We hit a major milestone that proves the district cannot ignore our opposition to these budget cuts. Post the link on Facebook right now to keep this pressure tight. Email your representative today and tell them clearly that our families rely on this transportation.

Ridiculous proposal. You cant just cut the bus and expect these kids to still get to class. Fix the budget somewhere else.

If they cut transportation they are basically telling working families that they dont care about our kids education. Just another short sighted decision.

UNACCEPTABLE. The base school does not even have the resources to support these kids properly. Dont punish the students for the district money issues.

My son needs this program. We both work full time and there is absolutely no way to get him to the base school across town. This is so unfair to working parents.
