My name is Asher. I am 11 years old and have been playing the GTA iOS series since I was 9. I enjoy online games and how they are sandbox, open world, free roam games. This is the type of game I love to play.
I have been asking my dad for GTA 5 for a while and he says no. His main concern is the way the game allows the player to treat women in inappropriate ways. Specifically, strip clubs and the strong sexual violence.
As average pre-teens, my friends and I enjoy playing these types of sandbox games. GTA has all of the things we love to do, but has content that is too strong.
An idea that I have had is to create setting options that allow the player or parent to adjust the levels of strong content. I have 3 reasons this will be a good idea. 1. More pre-teens will be able to buy the game. 2. groups that object he strong content won’t need to complain any more. 3. It will become more popular and more people will want to buy it.
If you agree with me then please sign my petition so we can show Rockstar Games that there are lots of responsible kids who know right from wrong. If we get enough signatures, maybe we can convince Rockstar to add game control settings to remove strong sexual content.

I agree with this since my brother has it and has been forced to hear and see some very innapropriate things...
This obviously bright young man is honoring his parent by requesting a simple change to this popular game. I fully support his request, and agree with his father concerning the content in this game that depicts violence against women and their sexual debasement. Let's not teach our young men that this is the roles women should be placed in, and our young women that it's accepted or expected for them to fulfill such roles.
Asher is a super smart young man. Think of all the increased revenue in parents buying this with the ability to control it to their satisfaction?!
This young man has a valid request. I don't understand why this is not a consideration. Games don't always need to be of violent or sexual depictions. I had the same reservations as his father when my daughter was his age and wanted to play these games. Ultimately we never bought the games.
I support my son and his effort to bring about sensible content control to this game and others.
This is such a great idea. The game is rated M, BUT a ton of people play it when they're teens. Good luck asher :]

I too have a young son that wants to play this game but I just can't. Parental controls need to be placed into these games so the parents have the option to turn of the violence and language.
