Please add my name to the petition requesting that AISD to rezone the Greyrock Ridge neighborhood to schools closer to their own community. If you would grant this request it could help our Shady Hollow neighborhood's big traffic congestion, and address overcrowding, especially at Baranoff elementary school.

There are three elementary schools within 1.5 miles of Greyrock. Kiddos should not have to be on. Baranoff zoning unnecessarily puts little ones on a long bus ride too early.

If there is a suitable elementary closer to these children, that is where they should go. Baranaoff is well over capacity, and Clayton is much, much closer to the Greyrock subdivision!

If your tires have to touch mopac to get to school you belong in Circle C school

We don't need any more cars going down & clogging up Brodie and clogging up Slaughter and Brodie intersection when Clayton is much closer.

Kids are spending longer time commuting going to a school that is farther away when there already is a school which is closer and less crowed. How does that make any sense. Longer time on the road increases the chances of accidents and brings on the dangers of the Austin roads. On top of that, they should be spending time learning, not sitting on a bus when there is another school that is closer. Especially when that school has all of the other circle c kids which they are friends with. And once again this school is severely overcrowded. In the winter, the children are getting on the bus so early in the morning in pitch black darkness. This is ridiculous especially for elementary students. It would be different if they were older kids (eg high school) but these are little young elementary children. This is a safety issue. Let this serve as a warning that if anything does happen to the children because of these mentioned issues - there will plenty of lawsuits pending. Another advantage to changing the school - there will less traffic in the slaughter/brodie area. Try as hard as you can to find a drawback for this change. None exist.

It makes sense to let them be with other kids in their neighborhood! Don't separate Circle C. They should go to the school that's closest to their house.
