Having a safe launch for the pilots is so obvious that can’t believe we are having to petition for this.

As an advanced HG pilot and yearly flyer at Mt Greylock for quite some time, I fully support the maintenance proposal. This is truly a wonderful site that needs to be preserved.

I've yet to fly from Mt. Greylock. However, my dad owned a sailplane business at the North Adams airport back in the 70's. Berkshire Sailflights was the company name. He instructed, gave rides, did maintenance and repairs on sailplanes and small power planes as well as sales of sailplanes. I grew up around aircraft as a little kid at that airport. Now, in my mid 50's, I'm looking forward to visiting Greylock and flying from it's summit to in a way carry on dad's love of flying. Maintenance and preservation of a launch and LZ are paramount for the safety of the HG and PG community.

I’ve been flying for 23 years. Please allow this work to occur as it is vital to the free flight community who are friends of the mountain community and its goals to preserve it for future generations.

I’ve been flying at Greylock for many years. I also hike there and ride up a couple times on my motorcycle every year.

Routine maintenance of hang-gliding and paragliding sites is an integral part of keeping our launch sites safe for both present and future flying activities. My first flight from Mt. Greylock was in 1975 and was one of my most memorable. I hope this proposed maintenance plan gets approved as I believe that it will benefit this unique site well into the future.

The beautiful view and the hang gliders & paragliders are the coolest things about Mt. Greylock! This proposal would secure the future of both.

I fully support the proposal by the Massachusetts Hang Gliding Association to perform sorely needed maintenance to the Adams Vista area at the summit of Mt Greylock. A primary goal of the proposal is to help ensure the continued safe usage of the site for hang gliding and paragliding pilots. It is not only the free flight flying community that will benefit from the work as non-flying visitors to Massachusetts’ highest peak as enjoy watching the launched as flying. As a Massachusetts hang glider pilot for almost 50 years, Mt. Greylock is surely my favorite flying site.

I have long enjoyed flying hang gliders from Greylock and hope to do so in the future. The general public also seems to enjoy watching hang gliders and paragliders flying from Greylock. I fully support the proposed work to enable gliding flight to continue at Greylock for the indefinite future.
