Stop the NHS discriminating against the Greenwood Surgery Patients
Our PCT has knowingly discriminated against the patients of Greenwood Surgery since it was first set up. Its attempts to promote inequality in healthcare are reprehensible and at odds with the ethos of the NHS. Here in South Woodham (Essex) we have a sophisticated version of the postcode lottery whereby patients with the SAME postcode are treated very differently by the NHS. We believe that this practice is woefully underfunded - more so than any other comparable NHS practice. Those whose job it is to regulate the service stand by and do nothing. Nye Bevan must be spinning in his grave!
We the undersigned have NO CONFIDENCE in the Mid Essex PCT (aka NHS Mid Essex), its Chief Executive and Board - and nor do we have any confidence in the East of England SHA (aka NHS East of England), its Chief Executive and Board. We call upon The Government to take steps to end the predjudice shown by the NHS against the Greenwood Surgery patients, to support small practices (where patients are treated as individuals and not mere numbers on a spreadsheet) and to remove the glaring inequalities in the funding of all NHS primary care services.
