It’s so obvious, it’s hard to imagine how an interest group has been allowed to ride roughshod over common sense.

I am concerned about imposing a new homophobia based on substituting same-gender attraction for same-sex attraction. Women are being discriminated against on the basis that an identity takes precedence over our sex-based protections leading to males in women's prisons, sports and refuges.

I'm in Australia, and a member of the Green Party here. I hope the Australian Greens adopt a similar position to stand up for the rights of actual biological women. Thank you for working to reclaim the Greens for what they originally stood for.

Delighted to see and sign this very important petition for women in the Green Party of England & Wales. GPEW's constitution must be changed.

How the Green Party responds to this petition determines whether I'm able to vote Green again. I cannot vote for a party that supports the normalisation of body dissociation and the abuse of children.

I am no longer a Green Party member, simply because I cannot support a party which does not recognise the sex-based rights of women.

I’m concerned that the Green Party doesn’t have a handle on the legal position around gender critical views. I have seen multiple misunderstandings and misrepresentations of the Forstater Employment Appeal Tribunal judgment on social media from its members.
The judgment and subsequent win in the lower court for Maya Forstater against her former employer, confirms that her widely held belief that biological sex is important and immutable is protected under the Equality Act 2010, and the lack of understanding of this by members and leadership alike is leading the party to be exposed to financial and reputational risk. It is not true, contrary to the beliefs of some GPEW members, that expressions of gender critical belief are not protected acts, that depends entirely on the facts of the case. Harassment and abuse are not acceptable on either side of the argument.
Also see the Allison Bailey and Denise Fahmy tribunal decisions, where both women were found to have suffered detriments on the grounds of their GC views.
The belief that sex matters, that women are female and that both women and LGB people can advocate for their own interests as distinct from transgender people is Worthy Of Respect In A Democratic Society in law.

It is the attitude to gender identity politics that has prevented me from joining the Greens though environmental issues are at the top of my agenda.

I am a Green Party supporter and have been for many years. I am not able to nor should I be able to self identify as black. In the same way my self identifying as being of the female sex should not be allowed.

Environmentalism is rooted in scientific fact. There is no place for nonsensical faith-driven ideologies in the Green Party. There are two sexes and humans cannot change sex.

I have always voted for the Green Party whenever they’ve had a candidate standing in any election. Not anymore, not until the Party recognises the impact of identity politics upon women’s safety & children’s safeguards which campaigners have fought for for over a century. I welcome this stance against to prevent the further erosion of these necessary safeguards for women & children’s safety & rights.
Good luck with your endeavour, this is really important work.
