I’m not a member but will vote green if you you recognise women as biological adult human females . Currently politically homeless.

Our party's support for the rights of trans members in society and for their fair treatment by others, should not replace the demands for women's equality in a Male-dominated society, nor allow the vilification of those pursuing women's equality and rights.

Thank you for this. All the parties need to wake up to the insanity that is gender ideology. This goes a long way to achieving that aim. Its baffling that anyone can accept, support and actively push a concept then entirely relies on fantasy and wishes in the face of hard reality. Sex is binary and immutable. Sex matters.

In full agreement with this declaration. Sorry state of affairs that GPEW has spent so much of the last 8 years hounding out committed environment activists for the crime of recognising the clear conflict between recently hard won women's rights, and the badly thought through version of self ID trans rights the party has sleepwalked into supporting. Taking this hardline has inevitably hardened attitudes, and now risks undoing the reasonably well balanced rights trans-sexual people were cautiously granted in 2004. Most of all I weep for the loss of environmental focus at this crucial point in human history.

Completely agree. The discrimination against and blanent disregard for the rights of women is shocking. Can't believe that in 2023 we are having to fight for the right to gather and speak safely.

I'm an ex-member of the Green Party who would like to return to a party supportive of women's rights.

Biological fact must not be erased by an idea. Biology cannot be transphobic. We must protect language that describes our biological reality; Mother, sister, daughter, wife, she, her, are words that define women (biological females), NOT trans identifying men. Accurate language means we can describe our world and our experience with precision, and trans people must use clear words that are distinct to describe their experience, for women and trans identifying men who call themselves 'women' or 'trans women' are not the same.

Our right to self determination, to speak, to think is so basic - I could weep that this declaration is needed in The Green Party, but so pleased it is here to sign. Thanks for fighting for all of us. Go sisters!

A comprehensive and clear declaration which pre-empts the long overdue amendment to the Equality Act 2010 to confirm that "sex" means biological sex. Well done Green Party Women for your brave struggle against authoritarians gender ideologues in the defense of women's rights and freedom of speech over the past 5 years and showing the way forward to all progressives.

Thank you for making this declaration. Standing up for logic, reason and truth to defend women's freedom to speak, single-sex spaces & opportunities is very important.
