Please do not change the current feeder pattern for Oakdale. My child with ADHD has enough challenges without having to adjust to school changes and new groups of friends

Please keep our children in their existing school feeder-pattern (OES, OMS, OHS). The proximity to the schools, the consistency of having our kids know their peers, and the familiarity with the school system is important to to our community. We are a close-knit community and keeping our kids in the Oakdale system is important to our families.

Please keep our kids in the Oakdale School district. They identify with this great community of students, friends, and teachers. As proud Elementary and Middle School students, they want to remain at Oakdale for the entirety of their schooling. It would be tough on the kids to hear the PA system from the many school events at the High School, when they live so close, but attend another school.

We moved to this community so that our children could go to Oakdale Elementary, Middle and High School this was one of the primary reasons to get our children the best education possible. Not to mention Greenview is 1/4 mile to the high school and 1/2 mile to the elementary and middle school I don’t see how shipping our children miles away to schools and other students they’re not familiar with is a benefit to the child or school.

As a former student of all 3 Oakdale schools, and one who had friends leave after elementary school only to rejoin for high school, I believe it is extremely important to keep kids together throughout their time in public school. Forcing students to leave the friendships that they've already built, just to bring them together again makes no sense. Those middle school years are already so important for students, and adding the stress of losing friendships is insensitive.

These kids should not be switched to other schools. An important part of school is growing up with your friends together. Going to a school farther away just wouldn’t make sense.

Please keep the kids from planning block #63 at ALL of the Oakdale schools! It doesn't make sense to keep switching schools at such a sensitive time of their lives.

As a university professor, I strongly support this petition, less disruption for the students by establishing and maintaining optimum cohort cohesiveness across the students critical developmental years — anything less will result in reduced Frederick County Public Schools Mission and Student Learning Outcomes. Do not let poor administrative scope & strategic planning drive the educational objectives of the school system. V/r Dr. Michael J Donohoe

Only desirable option is OES >> OMS >> OHS. Why would you ever consider Option 2 or 3? On all levels this is wrong, we are the closest in proximity to Option 1 - why bus our kids away from our backyard schools? Why make them go through so many school changes which could affect them socially and mentally during such a vulnerable time in their lives? This makes ZERO sense on all levels our vote is Option 1!!

As a parent with a son starting school next year, I am angry that you are considering pulling him out of the public schools we moved to the area anticipating he would attend, forcing him to attend elementary school farther away, and then forcing him to attend middle schools and high schools that are different from the ones his classmates will attend. I strongly object to options 2 and 3!
