One thing that sets rural areas apart from city life are the things that make its residents tick. The average person from southwestern Pennsylvania and surrounding areas probably doesn't have tickets for the next Cirque du Soleil show, been ballroom dancing, or have ever handed their keys off to a doorman as they enter their favorite restaurant. So what are the advantages of living somewhere that requires you to drive 20 miles or more to get to the nearest grocery store? Could it be Grandmas home cooking? Friday night football games? Knowing your neighbors name? Hunting? Fishing? A back yard? I am proud to be from this area for all those reasons, but one important thing is missing from the above.......Our love for cars. What I am proposing is to put Greene County on the map. To create a place that brings revenue and tax relief while giving the people in the surrounding areas a place to safely race their cars. This should be "The peoples" track and something for us to be proud of. Greene County's economy is heading in the right direction.
