Lived in Edmonton for 28 years and grew up on these.. first had them at the "Mongolian Food Experience" which was at that time in the Glenora district, they offer them everywhere these days, the best place to have them now is Good Buddy IMO,. they are fluffy/puffed up there and they serve them with vinegar + chile oil!

Great to have an Edmonton official dish .But I think it should be called the Edmonton Green Onion Cake . Great Idea for the official dish of Edmonton .

Ate my first green onion cake at Happy Gardens, Park Allen. The first, the best. Sad that they had to close.

I lived in Edmonton for nine years and fell in love! I had to move back to Ontario and I am seriously depressed that I just can't find Edmonton Green Onion Cakes here ...specifically the donut shaped flaky kind.

Green onion cakes are a perfect representation of our great city. Created here, lots of varieties and a must have at every city summer party.
