As an Edmonton born son living in Hamilton, I wholeheartedly support this petition. I have had many a green onion cake, starting with the legendary Mongolian Food Experience on Rice Howard Way, and now I make my own regularly to remind me of home.

Just want to join the follow as we are the owner's of the green onion cake. Booth, we take it on the road to street performers, bvj, folk and fringe. We have been doing this for 11 years . So please come see us this week at the fringe

I told the volunteers at the Fringe Festival in Calgary that it IS NOT a Fringe without green onion cakes. They had no clue what I was talking about...

It's not an Asian thing, but an Edmonton thing. You can't find green onion cake even in dim sum restaurants outside of Edmonton.
