This community has been under development for eighty years. During this time no developer has considered this property to be feasible for building a home, so why now?
The proposed dwelling, if granted would be built 50 feet from Mayford Avenue,
across the creek and the side of the house would be technically be on the edge of 209th Street. The front of the home would set in the edge of a creek bank that overlooks a sediment field and creek bed. Like others who have signed this petition, I feel that if a dwelling is allowed it will go unsold, get delapated and become a eye sore to the community.
I am told that the owner has a right to develop their property however, just because the courts allow it, doesn't mean it has to be done.

Home would look out of place in the neighborhood. The property is useless and has no real value.
Not sure how an intelligent individual
could spend money to purchase this property let a known build a dwelling on it. Plus, not sure what family would buy a home setting on this property. The home isn't even going to be built near Mayford Avenue. They want to build the proposed dwelling on the edge of 209th St.

STOP Building! We have enough vacant homes that need to be taken care of, and a ton of trashy homes people are not cleaning up. We are overrun with rats Fix what we have and leave the wildlife that live there alone!

This is ridiculous! We need to protect what little green space we have left. In addition, that is a critical watershed and a stream that runs into Stoney Creek. Allowing the build will destroy the steam and push more wildlife into the neighborhood.

We don’t need another house built in this community. It’s already congested enough.

It wouldn't be safe for a house to be on that corner. People whip around that corner like a raceway. Plus, there is only so many trees and wild life in Pasadena. If you put a house there, where will the frogs and other animals go that rely on that spot?

I am against Chessie Homes obtaining variance approval to build beyond what is currently legal. Not allowing maximum footage between new construction and the Moorhead’s property is an outrage and encroachment on their privacy and view. This is only one of the reasons it should be rejected.
