The citizens of Marshfield respectfully request that the Department of public works remove the seaweed that has accumulated on Burkes/green harbor beach. The seaweed that has accumulated is depriving the citizens of Marshfield use of this public beach. Additionally the seaweed has attracted flies and other insects creating a serious health hazard for the residence of Green harbor

the momentum on this is honestly wild right now. seeing everyone push for clean sand makes me think we really have a shot at getting the city to listen.

We are rented a home in Green Harbor for the month of July-a once in a lifetime extravagance for us. I am horrified by the condition of Burkes Beach and hope it is cleaned up soon.

Beach stickers were purchased with the understanding that beaches would be cjean and usable. The insect situation as well as the odor keep the beach from bring enjoyed fully.

Not only has there been flies and other insects, but there was also a dead bird in the seaweed as well. It not only looks digusting, but smells disgusting.

The seaweed needs to be removed. I actually have gotten bites on my ankles from it. The smell is horrible. Dangerous for people with allergies.

This town is a vacation spot for many people in Massachusetts in Addison bringing revenue to all our small businesses. Our beaches should be top priority in the summer just as the snow removal is top priority in the winter!

Please make this beautiful beach useable to the residents of Marshfield, like myself.
