I would like to support the Green Party, but cannot while it continues to conflate gender and sex. Transwomen are not women, they are transwomen, ditto men. Trans people must be proteted against discrimination, but their rights should not override the hard-won rights of women and girls.

100% agree with this declaration. Please support women and girls. I knew AC and their dad, you got that badly wrong as many do, blinded by covert bullying and believing one group is more special and deserve more equality than over 50% of the population. Don't keep repeating the same mistake.

I was active in the Green Party LGB group in the 90s, and I presented as the opposite sex as a child but it seems the leaders who have no apparent lived experience of these issues think my belief that sex matters makes me a bigot.

Women's sex-based rights and protections must remain protected. Presently, self-id is the biggest threat to these rights. Sex and gender must not be confused!

Absolutely we must fight this prejudice against women that has arisen within our own ranks. How can we call ourselves a global social justice and environmental party/movement if we refuse to support women’s sex based rights and worse, persecute those who do?

So pleased to see brave green women making sure sex based rights, that took years to achieve, are not rolled back. Everyone deserves human rights and dignity. All rights need to be looked at an assessed for impact on other groups. Thank you

The Green Oarty has made some serious mistakes regarding women and girls rights and safeguarding That’s why I wouldn’t vote for them. If they campaign for female rights I may consider it.

This is so important for my 10 year old daughter I can no longer let he go to the loo on her own in certain places because to let her be in an intimate personal space with all men is putting her in danger to say it is not is ignoring male predatory sexual violence and I would not be doing mu duty of care to her .

It is for women and girls to say who can enter the basic class in society which is ‘female’. And only women and girls.

Thank you so much. This gives me hope that there are people in the Green Party who understand the lived experience of women and that progressives cannot ignore the the relationship that women have to men around reproduction, whether or not they actually have children, and the gender stereotypes built on that reproductive relationship that are entrenched, keeping women disempowered and vulnerable.
