We are waging a similar struggle within the Green Party of the United States. The recent endorsement in the platform of the Georgia Green Party (GP of the usa) of the Women Human Rights Campaign's Declaration on Women's Sex-Based Rights, has inspired some within our national party to call for the expulsion of our state party. Any Greens wishing to support our struggle on this side of the Atlantic, are urged to consider also signing this statement: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vQKPe5ovHYfqeHIF-Ky8OFDbnRFGpaHdH-ekfmUXw_QKsXJYgkXH2zgzcObghp0hb92WJYF_LMfWlJC/pub

It really is a simple thing to understand. When a child is born without one clear defining sex characteristic then the matter is complex and not open to policymakers but open to medical people, parents and the child / young person themselves. The law we have based around protected sex characteristics should not be muddied or confused due to a medically termed condition such as I understand gender dysphoria to be. If a 3rd space is needed; if a 3rd protected character is needed then do it but not at the expense of any other sex. I am a woman and I do not know what it 'feels' like to be a woman; I just am. I similarly do not know what it feels like to be my neighbour, my mother, my sister, my daughter - all women - because they are not me. There is no 'feeling' like a woman. You either are or you are not, the only exception being the complexity of the child born as both. Please please see how simple this is. Please please understand how needed sex based rights & protection are.

Trans people have a right to freedom from discrimination and to meet in trans only spaces. So do female people ie women and girls.

I am glad that there is at last an understanding of women's rights and that trans activists are being exposed as woman-hating.

Women's rights have been hard fought, and we can't let them be eroded

Make sure that the word woman only refers to somebody born female as in having a womb ovaries and vagina

Absolutely necessary. We can support sex based equality protections as well as gender reassignment under the equality act but we must be clear that discrimination on the basis of sex exists and causes suffering in ways that are distinct from discrimination on the basis of gender reassignment.

I’m a former Green Parliamentary candidate. I hope to stand again - and am worried about being denounced as ‘transphobic’. (Ludicrous.) The Green Party is based upon the necessity of accepting ecological reality. So can we please accept biological reality...

I have voted Green Party in previous elections in the U.S. but will no longer do so until they decide that fighting for women and girls is worth their time and effort. And that men are NOT women and boys are NOT girls as more and more trans leaders and rank and filers are beginning to acknowledge.

Sex based rights for women must be protected.

Acknowledging the material reality of biological sex is essential in maintaining women' sex based rights under the protected characteristic of sex according to the Equality Act 2010.
