So how does this declaration square with the Green Party published policies on trans rights ?

Trans people need protection and women, adult human females, also do. Let's balance in a way which is fair to women, and focus on ending physical or verbal/written abuse of anyone, anywhere.

This declaration is long overdue and I support it as strongly as I stand by my signing of the WDI petition in support of the sex-based rights of women and girls.

If the green party hadn't shown such disregard for women's sex-based rights I would have voted for them in the last Scottish council election. Same for future elections.

Thank you for this. I have been a Green Party supporter for years but did not put them first in the last election because of their dictatorial stance on this issue.

The sex of a person is a biological fact which is incontrovertible and protected under the Equality Act. The Green party - indeed all political parties - must recognise the difference between biological sex and gender, which is a human construct liable to manipulation by biological (and intact) males to access women-only spaces and activities.
Women's rights are human rights and must be protected.

I am concerned about authoritarianism in the Green Party and their failure to recognise sex as a protected characteristic and to understand that women and girls are subject to oppression and discrimination in the basis of their sex.
Thank you for this petition. I hope our voices will be heard.

I've written and emailed various people regarding this but to be honest I didn't realise how far the rot had spread. I've demonstrated and marched in the past but don't know if I'd have the guts to stand in the street on this one. I'm expecting to be asked to leave the party, unless I resign first. I think there's more likelihood of KIer Starmer seeing sense on this one than our own leadership, which is pretty depressing.

I'm seriously considering cancelling my Green Party membership due to the mysogeny and anti-democratic nature of of the party.

I have supported the Greens in many elections, but am now hesitant to do so because of their ideological stance on the trans issue.

There is a green party candidate standing in my local ward. She shouted at me & snatched back her leaflet, said she has "loads of trans friends & they are the gentlest people she knows" and " all she's concerned about for the council is recycling". She will not be getting my vote.

Sadly, I'm resigning from the Green Party on this issue, despite it being the only one I can support on most others. I am now a party "orphan. As a woman who was very nearly raped, and who knows many others not so lucky, I will never accept sharing intimate spaces with intact men. And in a society where girls experience daily sexual harassment, the idea of making school loos unisex is a recipe for disaster. While I understand the need to protect trans men and women, and provide them with safe loos, this cannot be at the expense of women.

It is vital for all other concerns including environment to ensure that sex is acknowledged as the fundamental basis of all life on this planet and observed as being immutable and binary, and society must ensure this is recognised in law and society above any self perceived "identity".
Everything in life stems from this truth:
Sex (Female OR Male) and associated Sex Class - Women/Girl - Female; Man/Boy - Male
No human or mammal can change sex or the linked sex class.
Without sex as the objective marker, Women/Girls (Females) cannot ensure their safety and security, society cannot ensure the safety of Boys (Males) nor the safety of Men (Males) from themselves.
Freedom of Speech, thought and self expression is adversely impacted for all if this truth is erased.
