Grandparents have a great influence on children. I am restricted from seeing my Grandson because CPS told them I reported them when it was not me.

My grandson grow for 3 years with me I meant lots of to him. When CPS took him from my daughter he was crying and asking for me, wanted to go back home, my home where he grow first 3 years and i didn't get to see him. I was 2nd mom for him, at delivery i cut his cort, buy all daily needs for him, been with him for the time his mom worked and even more. I ask for 15 minutes weekly visit with him to comfort him and answer is NO WASHINGTON STATE DOES NOT ALLOW GRANDPARENTS. CPS should comforted children not get them stressful and traumatize more then what they are. What kid can understand at age 4 years, why I cannot visit him now. He may think, I abandoned him and getting him more depressed. It is not right, needs to be change for children. Get grandrands support and visit. To fell loved continue and not be forgotten, as they my think, at young age.

I raised my Grandchildren for 19 months (one since he was 4 months old) and because of the lack of support from CPS and the stress that was caused, we lost them to a foster family! I want rights to see these babies that I have raised and that miss me terribly! I get one 45 minute visit a week SUPERVISED and I did NOTHING WRONG! This needs to change!

How tragic is it that your own children USE their kids as weapons or tools of manipulation against their own parents. Please do tell how you can love your kids and yet take away LOVE from them by taking away their grand parents because they won't bow down to you or be control by you. These people need to remember that these same kids you have taken grand parents from WILL REMEMBER this when they grow up and it will all come back around.

My son and x-girfriend have a daughter. My son and her have played the child against each other. I have done everything I can to spend time with her. As long as I'm putting out the money its ok but to have her spend the night etc its a constant battle. I want to take her on vacations like I did with my other granddaughters and Im denied for every excuse you can imagin. They each go on trips without her and she is the one that looses out.

There is absolutely no reason for the state to adhere to one Superior Court judge decision to overturn the grandparents rights law! Due to one case all grandparents in the state lose their rights, that is not the way of the American people ! In my case along with many other cases in Washington state and all across the country it is detrimental to the child to not have contact with the grandparents, the Grand parent or grandparents could be the child's only rock! To our state legislators; please have a hard look at this situation and put yourself in the shoes of the child who may be close to the grandparent or grandparents, realize how detrimental it would be if you're only stability was taken away from you and the only person that you truly loved you were not allowed to see! In my case I raise my grandson for many years and he is now 12 years old. His mother has been abusive to him and she is a very controlling person and has many problems with her temper, my grandson is afraid of her and he is now live with her for the last one year looking forward to every chance he had to see me, but after my daughter had assaulted me in front of her son and nearly struck him in the face with the sharp end of a pole saw , The police said the grandchild would go with her as she made arrangements for him to be picked up as she was taken to jail . My daughter later got bailed out of jail and I have not seen my grandson since then! Consider this "why is it that children turn to drugs and crime is it because the parent leave them home alone, or is it because of the parent beats on the child or is it because the child is always treated like a servant or worse possibly a slave! While the parent is mainly concerned about his or her well-being and not the child's well-being , this can be very damaging to the child's mental health. Perhaps the Superior Court needs to reconsider the ruling for the best interest of the child ! I am willing to take the case of grandparent
