Dear Students, For the first year in the existence of JIBS the graduation ceremony will be held in June and October so all the international students would be able to attend their graduation ceremony. Since JIBS is elaborating that it is an "International school at HEART" students received this with positive gratitude.

As you might all know on the 3rd of May there was an information meeting organized by Johan Larsson, Director of Studies at JIBS, because there were questions asked by students about the JIBS Graduation Ceremony. There has been a discussion regarding who would be able to attend the ceremony.

The initial requirements for attendance were 30 ECTS missing credits for Civilekonom and 2-year master students and 22,5 ECTS for the remaining program students. After complaints this changed to 30 ECTS missing credits to all students. At the Information meeting Johan Larsson clarified that JIBS changed this requirements back to the initial requirements.

Hereby students who are having one re-examination left will not be able to attend the graduation ceremony. The re-examinations are set for the last week of May and therefore the results of the re-examination will not be published on time for students to attend the graduation ceremony.

With this petition I want to make a statement to the board of JIBS that they should not limit the accessibility to the graduation ceremony to certain students. All students with one re-examination besides the ECTS of the last term should be able to attend the graduation ceremony regardless the program they study.

Regards,

Bart Oostveen, Student Strategic Entrepreneurship at JIBS
