All schools as well need to discuss dates so not the same night for example have family going to HT and family going to SCS will graduate same year and when grads fall on same night family and grandparents have to choose which family member to graduate and someone loses out

No body wants to come back to school 3 months after their last year.
So many people can't go because they're in post secondary at that point and can't afford to skip class

Moss has their graduation in June and it has always been great. I think too many students move on after June.

graduation should be in June.....too many are unable to atten what they have worked so hard for. A diploma is just a piece of paper I am sure the graduates would accept a fake dipolma in June and have the real one mailed later. Highschool graduation is a milestone in their lives....have it when they can all attend! Give them the send off they deserve.....have it in June....HT does!

We are fighting for everyone. We are proposing a graduation that includes all of the class regardless of their marks, so everyone can walk across the stage together. We understand that there are some who need to take summer school or receive additional credits to graduate fully. However, the way the system runs doesn't take into consideration those who study abroad who need to spend time and money to come back for one night, or those who are too busy with post secondary. A graduation with dummy diplomas is better than not being able to walk across the stage at all.

Could never understand why SCS waits until the fall to have their commencement.
Most graduates are away at college or university when SCS decides to have graduation, so a lot of graduates miss it!

As a past valedictorian, the date in the fall was an absolute head ache. In order to attend my own graduation I had to post pone a midterm and finish a group assignment earlier than anticipated. Even if the diplomas aren't ready for the fall, I'd rather have a mock graduation and have my diploma mailed to me than go through the trouble of getting a ride home only to leave 3 hours later.
