The same thing can be said for the gr. 12's next year. We do not want to go to ANOTHER camp.

This applies to the grade 12's camping trip as well! The grade 12's had such a great time, and we don't want to spend our last trip together at a camp, as we would rather a more valuable experience.

I would love to go to the US. Going to northern Ontario doesn't really seem that exciting. We all were looking forward to this trip and then this suddenly happens. We were so ready from tales that we heard from the older grades and how much fun they had. This is definitely not fair at all and I see not reason why we should not go. Trump becoming president should not be stopping tourists.

"Shaped by experience" is one of the main quotes that have defined the school and its people. Over my experience as an alumni of Holy Trinity I can confidently say that Washington was one of the highlights of my career as a student of Holy Trinity School and I can say that without this trip it wouldn't have shaped me into the person I am today. In years before our grade went to camps and weve had plenty of experiences at camps that improved our leadership. While these experiences were good, I strongly believe that my trip to Washington was more bonding than any camp experience that I will ever experience.

Boston doesn't sound that interesting, but getting on a bus and heading to the middle of nowhere is worse

I would like to go to Washington because of the unique experience of travelling to a different country, as well as seeing for myself how different the country is from our country.

The people of grade 10 have spoken, they want change. We don’t want to go to another camp while there is such a better place to go, such as Washington. The people who have made this decision have clearly not consulted the students of HTS and their opinions on the matter. In civics we have been taught that every citizen has the right to their opinion and in English lessons we have been taught, specifically in the assignment "humans of HTS" that people must have their voice heard. By making this decision the school has made it abundantly clear that it has not listened to the voices of their student body.

I was also very excited for this trip. It was supposed to be a great experience that everyone could benefit from.

Lot of people that I've talked to have said that this trip is a highlight of their high school here at HTS. I wouldn't want to miss out on that opportunity .

I was so excited for Washington next year. Many people, including teachers, have said it was a highlight of their HTS experience. I feel the camp trip will not impact our lives as much as going to Washington. #SayNoToTimberlane

Washington will be a better experience for our age rather than a week of repetitive activities

I've always looked forward to the Grade 11 Washington trip. I think the Washington trip is a unique experience that only Holy Trinity School students experience.
