Time for a sensible overview of the changes under consideration from the perspective of all stakeholders.

GPUD needs to look at aerial photos from 30 years ago as to what the landscape and waters edge looked like. The trees and plants they are bringing in are not native from years ago.

GPUD is unnecessarily destroying recreational land on the Columbia River. They have acted like bullies to the land owners of Sunland for many years. Enough is enough!

They are basically trying to take over Sunland, and have no respect for the families that are there, and have been there for many years.

Don't do this. So many wonderful memories made at Sunland.

This plan is destroying the atmosphere and usability of our family cabin that we have owned for over 40 years!!! it's a travesty! i can't fathom the wisdom to remove acres of lawn that acts as a fire break and is maintained by the individual property owners, this plan removes the protection and creates raw land with plantings that now must be maintained by GPUD at the expense of the taxpayer. a shining example of government at work. please stop this madness!

Grant County PUD's plans include herbicide on grass (poor bunnies!) dense planting and "bare dirt interspaces" between plants. That means more blowing sand & dirt, no irrigation for fire safety (already ripped up) and blocked access to the shoreline -- with plans for "restrictions" to the shore! Oh, and next up, make Sunlands a wildlife refuge! Because that's so compatible with a residential area....Please sign on!

GCPUD clearly has a personal agenda against Sunlands and it's owners. Its lies and deceit have been blatant and egregious and they are definitely not acting on behalf of the public, or public access or public safety or fire safety. They are breaking rules and going unchecked. Please sign this petition if you agree as it is meant to get the attention of some higher ups who can put the PUD in check and make them work with us, not against us.

The GPUD plan and execution is the opposite from what the Sunland community has suggested over the years.

I agree that GPUD has been anything but a good neighbor to the Sunland Estates community. To me they appear to be actively attempting through their machinations to destroy our community.

We feel very strongly that the Gpud is not dealing fairly with Sunland Estates Homeowners. At one homeowners meeting, a representative stated that we have had it good for too long. We are paying for what happened at Crescent Bar.

I've been coming to Sunland for over 15 years but a relative new owner so trying to come up to speed on all the history and cross references. It's clear they aren't even managing these small public recreation areas and taken at face value, they are all over the map, very misleading and very inconsistent. We have documents that govern the use of property in Sunland Estates which includes Lot 51, period. They have documents that govern the use of GPUD property they manage, which is not part of Sunland Estates. Fine. They are trying to get us to change our rules for them while enforcing their rules for us. No quid pro quo and a dangerous precedent if they somehow prevail.
