Governor McAuliffe -- Virginia Needs Redistricting Reform!

We have got to move to a fairer, more compact method of setting district boundaries!

I live in a VERY gerrymandered District 10 that goes from Urban Metro stations to the rural and wilderness areas of the West Virginia state line. Very diverse interests and needs and spread over a wide geographic area make it hard to work together when you have to drive nearly 2 hours away to meat in person.

Please, let's get away from this problem of taking democracy away from the people.

We need nonpartisan redistricting. I want to pick my representative, not have some representative pick me. Governor McAuliffe, please do everything you can to promote this cause.

Fair ... Republicans you too! Democrats .. too! Suck up foolish pride and your nastiness and start the country bring smart. This prez election has been an eye opener to see the sleeve used by both parties as I research issues and actions taken by both parties. My vote will be hard won/harder to earn next time .

Please call for the special session. All people deserve to have a fair vote.

Stop gerrymandering. One person, one vote

Gerrymandering is state enforced racism and classicism, it is an embarrassment to the democratic process.

No more gerrymandering. No more unfair tactics by the GOP so they can dominate VA politics.

There has been a lot of research about fair redistricting techniques. There is no excuse for gerrymandering in any state today. Partisan approaches cannot be allowed to stand. We need more than to redraw our present district: we need rules to govern districting moving forward.
