this partisen practice of controlling districts needs to stop and make our votes count from both parties.

The legislature I see in Richmond does not reflect the Virginia I know. I understand that Northern Virginia is not typical of the state, but the state is much more diverse than the radically conservative legislature we have.

A very small number of subcommittee members has succeeded in keeping this from a larger vote. Clearly we cannot rely on the subcommittee to further the interests of all Virginians, regardless of party, on this matter.

Districts drawn along partisan lines erode our democracy and constituents' voices. Please hold a special session of the legislature and create an independent non-partisan commission to address this issue.

We have to drain the swamp of gerrymandering and corruption by having fair redistricting. The citizenry is getting wise to what has been done to deny us our political voice, and we won't have it.

Our democracy is slipping away due to gerrymandering. Gov. McAuliffe, please make Virginia's representative show in the light of day their vote on nonpartisan redistricting.

Please consider a special session to deal with this issue as it the districts as currently drawn are inherently unfair. Thank you.

I would only add that gerrymandering is killing democracy across the nation. It makes politicians less accountable for their actions, balkanizes the nation and enables only the most radical and extreme elements of the electorate to determine the future of the vast majority of moderate voters. Solution: 1) Create open primaries, 2) Limit large money contributions to campaigns, and 3) draw rectangular districts based on population numbers and not on population demographics (income and color blind selection).

This is one of the most important things you can do as governor -- for Virginia's future and for your legacy.

Del. Margaret B. Ransone, Del. S. Chris Jones, Del. Hyland Fowler Jr, Del. Les R. Adams, Del. Mark L. Cole- I have been sure to pass your names around to my fellow constituents and relatives to remember NOT to vote for you in upcoming elections. A "representative" whom is against a fair, bipartisan redistricting bill is not a representative of the people after all.

Let's figure out a fairer system.

Gerrymandering hurts the Commonwealth. Please take action to ensure accurate representation for all `residents of Virginia.
