Governor McAuliffe -- Virginia Needs Redistricting Reform!

McAuliffe failed Charlottesville, should have been protected by National Guard from the start!

This would be the first step in ending the practice of politicians picking their voters. Voters should pick their representatives.

Its about time we fixed this issue.

I am appalled at the level of gerrymandering going on in this state. Democracy is by the people...not by the representatives. Please call a special session on redistricting reform this summer.

This is not a partisan issue, it's a democracy issue! Make our legislature legitimate by allowing constituents in fairly drawn districts to choose their representatives.

If you need additional comments to understand why we need serious district reform, even if there is little to no intentional gerrymandering, then you don't understand the topic at hand and perhaps should let someone else make the decision here.

Districts should not be drawn by those who stand to gain or lose political power.

Please end Gerrymandering! We need fair politics and people need to be properly represented at all levels of government.

Please help us save our democracy by ending gerrymandering in our state.

Districts should be compact, and not drawn by any political party.

Let's get this done!

The Republican members on the Elections Subcommittee: Dels. Les Adams of Pittsylvania, Mark Cole of Spotsylvania, Buddy Fowler of Hanover, Chris Jones of Suffolk and Margaret Ransone of Westmoreland are responsible for undermining the spirit of fair and free elections in order to support their own seats in the House of Delegates.

This is a non partisan issue - both Rs and Ds have done it. The ability to select their own voters is just too powerful a siren call. If compute power can be used to draw districts for a prescribed partisan outcome, it can also be used to create logical, compact districts without legislative involvement
