Governor Mark Dayton: Please proclaim June 14th as Grandparent Alienation Awareness Day for Minnesota's children and families!

Not seeing my granddaughters is bad enough, knowing their mother is bad mouthing us is the heartbreaker. The death of their father was bad enough, why do they have to give up that half of their Family?

Grandparents love , and guidance are vital to kids in today's ever changing world, please approve legislation for the children's sake to always have.grandparents active in their lives

Why won't you make this a day of awareness there are thousand of MN grands and grandparents needing to bring this attention to MN. Hopefully it never happens to you Gov. Dayton

You will sign a proclamation for Beyonce' day but not this shame on you this is much more important

You refused to sign shame on you. I am a sister not able to see my little brother and sister.

I am disabled with MS. My granddaughter is going to be 9 & I haven't seen her for almost 7 yrs. The ching ching grandma gets to see her, but not me. I don't cross a t or dot an i & so am not good enough. I use to do Licensed Day Care & would NEVER hurt any child, let alone my own grandchild. I won't ever get to have another grandchild. I'm afraid to get visitation rights, for my daughter will come down even harder. I almost died last yr., & my daughter STILL wouldn't let me see her, & she didn't even call me after. How CRUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heart is broken!

My grand children are in Mexico don't know when or if I will ever see them again, my heart prays every day for their safe return!

Governor Mark Dayton.......Please proclaim June 14th as Grandparent Alienation Awareness Day for Minnesota's children and families. I pray you never have to live seeing a child's heart breaking because they don't get to see a grandparent(s). I also, pray that your grandchildren are never kept from you.......if it ever happens to you or someone close to you, then you would understand our pain and concerns. Thank you.

We have been alienated from our youngest son and wife and 5 grandchildren since September of 2014. We had formed bonds with them and love them so very much more than words can ever express. Our son and wife broke our hearts when they told us to stay away from them and the kids and never send cards to the kids and never call them. If we see them in public we are to walk away. We tried to be the best grandparents we knew how to be and it all got twisted into their way of thinking in ways we never intended. or meant. It is abuse to us but more importantly abuse to our precious 5 grandchildren from ages 2-19. The hole in our heart is there to stay and we have no way to let those kids know how much they mean to us and how much we love them. They must think we deserted them, We have shed many tears and still do. We pray everyday for God to protect them from evil and lead them to some kind of normal life without dysfunction in their future. That is all we know to do because we have no legal rights and if we did intervene it only causes damage to our grandkids, so we stay away and pray for reconciliation someday.

This is so important to grandparents and grandchildren who need to be in each others lives
