Governor Mark Dayton: Please proclaim June 14th as Grandparent Alienation Awareness Day for Minnesota's children and families!

I back this totally. Breaks my heart the way grandparents are treated today. They used to be respected and loved.

We need to make more people aware of Grandparent Alienation. Its not fair to the children.

This generation needs to learn a lesson and although they want to live their lives they cannot come in and out and use innocent children as a bargaining hip. Grandparents have the inherited right to be a grandparent and not alienated from their grandchildren.

Grandparent alienation needs to stop now!

I am a grandma who has had her grandson since he was 4 and now he is 11 I had to fight to keep him and I child knows where his home is and who loves him....

Heartbreak is only a moment away for anyone....please help stop the unfairness

Grandparents have a profound impact on a child in a positive way. Family ties are so important. Reunite the children with their grandparents for heavens sake!

One day grandparents will have legal rights to their grandchildren

I feel this needs to be in every state. I live in wyoming. And I didn't get to see two of my grandsons for five years..then I got a call from the state that the boys were being taken away from their parents. Cause their mother was trying to kill herself in front of them. And on drugs.. I fostered them for ten months. And the state let them go back..shame on the government...then I find out that their mother was taking nasty pictures in front of them and sending them to other men and meeting these men and having an affair non my son..my son has been threatened with a gun stuck in his face by her father. And her father said he would blow his head off if he didn't do what his daughters says and wants. Somof course my son is terrified.. and stuck. And doesn't know how to get out of the mess and be safe.. cause I do know if he left. He would for sure get his boys. O dear Lord. What can be done.. I want and need to see my grandsons. I love and miss them dearly. And would love to have my son back in my life...

Grandparents should not lose a relationship with grandparents over a parent's feelings!

I'm getting older and so are my grand babies. I often wonder if I'll every see them again.

I am an alienated grandparent. More awareness needs to be brought to this situation.

I understand feel the pain that many grandparents have gone through and are going through, and I can tell you It is like a death has taken place, only because of a disagreement between his new wife and you. I feel like they cut my heart out.

Im signing for all the alienated children and their families. Children should have the right to love and see all of their family. Family bond obstruction is harmful to these beautiful-innocent children. Please..please acknowledge their rights!!!

We are being denied access to our grandson. We all have to help each other, because it can happen to anyone!!

Grandparent Alienation is at record levels. We desperately need to raise awareness. Please proclaim June 14th Grandparent Alienation Awareness Day!

Unless you are a grandparent that is alienated, you have no idea how much your heart can hurt.

I too have been denied access to my grandson and there is no help for my wife and I in Texas so I understand.
