I'm a hunter myself and the 'No Hunting' on Sundays is ridiculous. I work every other weekend so I lose out on the weekend I have Sunday's off. I think it's time Maine got update with the rest of the state's.
hunting in maine is a tradition of hard working men and woman because of that work leaving one day to hunt is not enough

I agree and have for years that sunday hunting should be allowed. I buy a N.H. lic. since i live on the boarder its a short ride over to N.H. to hunt and enjoy the chance to fill my freezer..

Or... open up Sunday and ban hunting on Wednesday! The State claims the law is not for religious reasons, so why not?

I have a licence but have only been able to go hunting twice this season. I am not religious and I happen to have Sundays off, but even if I didn't, I would still sign this petition. This is an outdated law that that needs to go away.

Many people work during the week and have little time to hunt i think this would be great!

It is time to look at this law again and time to make adjustments for the people who live here. Bible thumpers in government are a thing of the past.
