Governor Crist,

Thank you for standing up for the hundreds of thousands of students, parents, and teachers who would have been negatively affected by Senate Bill 6. Your choice to honor the wishes of the hundreds of thousands of your constituents who opposed Senate Bill 6 even at great political cost is extremely admirable and we thank you for being a true public servant by vetoing this legislation.

We wish to thank you for preventing the complete destruction of public education within Florida and pledging to take steps in the right direction, rather than sign into law a bill that was rushed through the legislature and would only harm education; a bill that was passed by both the Florida House and Senate with literally no input from teachers, superintendents, or school boards.

While we appreciate you vetoing Senate Bill 6, we would also like you to know that vetoing SB6 was just the first step on a long road to improving the quality of education within Florida, by adequately funding education and initiating and supporting proper education reform. As Albert Einstein once said, "Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts". So Governor Crist thank you for what you have done thus far, but please continue to fight for education whether it be as a governor or a senator.

Thank you Gov Crist for listening to us for once. My kids deserve better than what that bill would have done to their classrooms.

Thank you for protecting our teachers. They deal with enough as it is without these bad laws making things harder.

This bill was so rushed it was ridiculous. Glad common sense prevailed.

SB6 was a total disaster. Glad someone in tallahassee actually had the guts to say no. Good job.
