We the teachers, citizens, and employees of the State of Florida, respectfully request you vote NO against the passage of Florida Senate Bill 4 and 6.
With respect, we advise the honorable representatives, that the teachers of the State of Florida are part of the solution, not part of the problem. We strive and work diligently each and every day to improve the lives of the students in our care.
Seeking punitive measures against teachers will not result in success.
On the contrary, we believe it will have an adverse effect on the educational system. The end result being, good teachers will leave and those considering teaching as a career, will reconsider their choice.
Further and with respect, if you choose to vote YES for this bill, we, the below signed petitioners, pledge to support and vote for your opponent in the next election, regardless of party affiliation.

I have been sitting here reading through your stories about the classroom and honestly it just keeps reinforcing why this whole thing started in the first place because the fatigue is real and it feels like nobody at the capitol is actually listening to the people who are doing the work. My inbox is blowing up with messages from people who feel like their careers are on the line and honestly it is overwhelming but also kind of fuel for the fire while I try to figure out how to get someone in power to actually sit down and look at these names.

My kids have amazing teachers who work their tails off. Why punish the people who actually care about our kids education? Bad move.
