Seeing this kind of movement is overwhelming after so many months of feeling like I was talking to a wall. It is exhausting work but knowing you all are behind this gives me the energy to keep going.

This program would be a nice supplement to state - sponsored gopher tortoise conservation programs!
With the amount of tortoise road casualties you see year after year, a car tag makes for a great awareness campaign.
I've been waiting for a GT license plate for years! I'm glad that one might finally be available.
Using a vanity plate to generate recurring funds for the tortoise is a fantastic idea. And the plate would reach such a large audience!
This animal is declining in numbers, and as a keystone species, this should not be allowed to happen. License plates will raise money for land the animals need and will raise awareness.
We love gopher tortoises and hope your license plate will help conservation efforts.

I love gopher tortoises, and have worked in both conservation efforts and relocation efforts for this keystone species. I would love to be able to purchase a license plate that would fund conservation to this species. They are an important part of Florida, and should be just as iconic as the alligator, in my opinion.
