As one of the most visited websites on the internet, we ask that you help us raise awareness for schizophrenia and other psychosis related illnesses. Your company creates amazing doodles for several holidays and nationally recognized days. We ask that you please create and display a doodle for National Schizophrenia and Psychosis Awareness Day on May 24th. Schizophrenia is one of the most misunderstood mental illnesses and afflicts many people of many different ages. Spreading awareness about this illness can help prevent broken homes, the suffering of families, and can help people who suffer from these afflictions.
Our understanding of Schizophrenia and other psychosis related illness is limited and is not given the funding and support it truly needs. These illnesses can prevent a normal life and can lead the sufferer to act out in a way that can harm others. While some, simply need relief from delusions, depression, paranoia or other symptoms.
From the hearts of the people who suffer from these illnesses and from the families and friends affected by these illnesses: We ask you to please join us in our fight to help the people we love.
With more research and awareness, we can save lives.
Google continues to ignore our requests while millions suffer in the shadows of this stigma. Their silence is a calculated insult to families desperate for recognition and support. We are not going away until they stop hiding behind their corporate apathy and acknowledge the reality of this illness.

Schizophrenia is the most severe form of mental illness and is also the most misunderstood of them all. This has lead to the marginalisation of the most vulnerable people in our community with an average life expectancy 25-30 years lower than the general population
