Signatures are an important part of an email and should never be removed if that isn't the user's intention.
Business emails without signatures look unprofessional. This is not a desired behavior.
Lots of users are complaining about this.

Why won't Google let us compose emails with our signage untrimmed? I just want to know why. Is it some executive order? Is this a preference of Page and Brin, who are now imposing their preference for email formatting style on the world? I am enraged and I am finding it very hard not to use profanity.

I agree they should stop hiding signatures by default, but right now I can't even find a way to change a setting so it doesn't hide signatures.

Also, those stupid tabs are useless, it was better the old way. And why is it so difficult to control who is in my circles? Your engineers seem to be determined to make google harder and harder to use.

Please remove the clipping of email messages. It is actually embarrassing to have emails sent like this.

I want an opt OUT option! Default should show full content of any message I forward please.

I have no words to describe the obviousness of this petition. The fact that there is even a petition begging for the options to include our names in private emails to colleagues/friends/peers/formal contacts/etc. flabbergasts me. Wow. Please allow me to write my name and have others see it!
