This 'feature' is completely absurd! Our signature SHOULD be shown! It should only hide the previous emails in the thread and if someone wants to read previous emails, then THEY can click on the dots!

I am floored when I realized some of my clients have to click on 3 dots to see my email signature. What kind of crap system are you guys running. There should be an option to disable or you guys should just kill it NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hate the trimming feature so much! Almost lost credit on a University assignment because of an email that was half cut off by this feature and my professor didn't see the rest!

People have been complaining about this since 2011! I just want to by able to type my name at the end of and email without having it trimmed, without having to add invisible characters and without having to prefix with some salutation with a comma which seems to be the only way the official "options" for hiding work.
Just let me put my name at the end of my messages it's 4 letters and makes me sound like less of a demanding ass!

It's fine to hide previous emails, but the signature loses all functionality if it is hidden.

This issue has been hanging for years now - I'm beginning to think that somebody at Google was very angry with Google and created this bug and nobody else at Google yet had the know-how to undo it.
