Rename The Oscars After Gary Oldman
It is no secret that the state of the Academy Awards is in despair. It is absolutely attrocious that one time wonders like Ben Affleck, Whoopi Goldberg, and Marisa Tomei have had their so-called talent recognized. All the while, truely gifted talent like Gary Oldman, Johnny Depp, and Christopher Lee are constantly overlooked. For this reason, we request that the Oscars be renamed after the world's greatest living actor - Gary Oldman. This will be a step in restoring the prestige of the Academy Award, or as it will be known - The Golden Oldman. If this request cannot be met, then we suggest creating a new Oscar named after Gary Oldman. The Gary Oldman Oscar (The Golden Oldman) will be used to recognize those talents that have consistantly given us excellence in film. We suggest that the first award go to the man of it's namesake, Gary Oldman. Others to follow, would be Christopher Lee, Johnny Depp, Maggie Gyllenhaal, etc... Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to The Golden Oldmans and the amazing talent that will receive them.
