I do not want the beer garten at 40thStreet and Broadway. I believe that it is not the right fit for our neighborhood.

Let's help LOCAL breweries and other businesses locate to this site, not an outside corporation.

There's already quite a few local beer gardens in the neighborhood. Allowing a major corp to come in and set pricing will end up undercutting the local business and risking the beauty that makes downtown Oakland unique. Keep major corps out of downtown. #rootedinoakland

I'm all for local development in my neighborhood but not this massive plan. The residents living next door will be dramatically impacted, parking is already a mess and a big corp posing as a local business using hip and cool containers is not the way to go. Very disappointing.

We really don't need yet another place to buy beer in the neighborhood. I support small business, not major corporations coming in to further gentrify what was a diverse community. I agree with others that it will be horrible for parking and unsafe in a family-friendly neighborhood.

As a business owner 2 doors down I believe this will actually be good for our business and suspect the other business owners on the block agree. I am most concerned about the parking and safety issues that are already complex on this street and block and as this neighborhood set of businesses continues to vitalize, I'd like to see the city help offer a solution to the parking concerns. I believe the adjacent condos were required to build an underground parking lot.

This business venture will be a nightmare for our neighborhood.

Bad design. Terrible for parking and traffic. False flag "craft" beer operation owned by a billion dollar multi-national that can certainly afford to develop better if they really want to invest in the neighborhood.

This is not a good plan for the local neigborhoods. Parking is a big issue and customers will be parking in our neighborhood. Its not fair to the residents. I don't know who the developers are and why these businesses don't think about the locals and parking.

This business proposal will bring unwanted added noise and parking difficulties to the neighborhood. I also oppose for it being a large corporation vs a small locally owned business. This neighborhood does not need another beer garden we aready have some great ones already and there is another opening up soon just down the road on 40th. What we need is a grocery store in this neighnorhood, not another beer garden. Please think of the resdients and deny their permit.

my concerns are those voiced in the petition. We have a wonderful neighborhood and love many of the small local businesses that support and respect the community. This project is not locally owned and will create parking problems (since they are not providing parking) where parking is already hard, odor and noise for the neighbors. We already have plenty of places for people to gather to drink alcohol which serve the community.

We do not need the noise and added traffic congestion (no additional parking is being provided ) of a beer garden, nor do we need the noise and odors of a beer manufacturing facility,

this ti[ps the scale of the area from business commercial towards nighttime bar/club strip and is bad for the families who live here.

There are dozens of reasons this business needs to be stopped in our neighborhood: noise, parking, traffic, odor, alcohol control, not locally owned,

This neighborhood is being slammed with development! We need our city council representative, Dan Kalb, to get to work on an overlay plan, so we have a master plan to help offset the negative impacts of this development. We organized and requested help on the same issues regarding the 4055 Broadway development (the 47 units with only 26 parking spaces) Kalb provided no advocacy on our behalf, his communication was almost non existent and he ignored the suggestion to get working on an overlay plan for our neighborhood. He should also be getting lots of attention from persons concerned about this development.
