I am concerned about parking, traffic a possible ordors that this beergarden might bring into the neighborhood.

I look at this as a 'big box store', but in the micro brewing industry. Big boxes have been denied permits where they would be putting small business owners out of business. The same should apply here.

Sounds noisy? Outside beer garden? It is a residential mix use neighborhood. Not a good fit for an outside beer garden

I agree with Joanne Parker--the neighborhood fought for years to get liquor stores out of this area. We do not need this! There are lots of independently owned restaurants in the vicinity (which are lovely and something I definitely support). We do not want a conglomerate moving in!

This business will be a blight on the neighbor, increasing traffic, noise, and homogenizing the neighborhood into one big corporate wasteland. We need more affordable housing, and "mom and pop" storefronts. Let's not be like San Francisco. Let's keep Oakland vibrant and diverse!

We worked for years to get alcohol off the corner of 40th and Broadway and now the City wants to bring it back. This neighborhood does not have active "nightlife" currently. All restaurants are indoors only and close by 9 or 10. This neighborhood is NOT the Mission. And this corner is the primary bus stop for Oakland Tech students (Route 57). We helped the City get Safe Routes to Schools funding to make a bulb out on the northeast corner for the kids, not for the bar patrons. This is the first project in my 30 years in the neighborhood that I oppose.

Great idea for Oakland, but we already have Kaiser and several restaurants impacting our residences. This is too big and too commercial and just...TOO! for the Temescal!

we have way too much new building going on here, and they are bigger and too much for our lovely neighborhood. we don't need this gentrification, and we don't need anhauser busch (hiding behind AB)

As a parent I am particularly concerned about the alcohol consumption related nuisance and the increased access to underaged High School students. There are plenty of beer gardens and pubs in the area. I also strongly object to such a corporate and non-local presence in our neighborhood.

A beer garden in this neighborhood is not a good mix.There is a school, a hospital near by and people going and coming on busses. There is not many parking spaces. I see arguments and accidents from a mixture of frustration and alcohol.

Horrible idea to take away parking for surrounding businesses who rely on it for delivery vehicles among other things. Also who wants to drink beer next to a dumpster with rotting meat in it?

This is not a good fit for the neighborhood and of particular concern to those who live nearby. Noise and parking would be a huge problem for residents. It's not about Nimbyism, it's about concern and respect for the neighbors.

This is a vital neighborhood that is already bursting with too much traffic. I've lived in this neighborhood since the 90's and the congestion is becoming unbearable. There is no parking and the thought of having to smell beer being made is repulsive. This is Not the place for 7000 sq feet of beer manufacturing and beer gardens. They need to be somewhere more industrial, although if you ask me I think we already have too many beer gardens
I am against this in my backyard, because I am sick of big businesses taking over what has been a mom and pop neighborhood for decades. This is more of a hindrance and a burden than a help.
