Local Buisnesses are responsible to the communities they serve. Corporations are responsible to their Board of Directors and their bank accounts. This is a bad fit. There are several local small businesses that cater to those seeking a meal and a pint. The noise the smell The inevitable litter would be overwhelming to residents. the consumption of alcohol especially long hours and late into the night and early morning pose a safety risk to those who live in the neighborhood both from inebriated drivers and also violent crimes which often go hand-in-hand with drinking such as assault and rape. I don't want this in my neighborhood and I know my neighbors do not want it either it doesn't serve the neighborhood needs

Parking is a huge issue in the neighborhood and already there are businesses and residents who use that one remaining lot for their parking needs. In fact, that parking lot is what allowed some of these businesses to move in. So much for permits.
And there are two beer gardens and a restaurant with beer garden all within two-three blocks of this site...how many beer gardens do we need?
Oakland had a chance to develop differently form other cities...but they are not doing it. Just like other cities, profit drives planning, not the other way around.
This site is also very close to a busy bus stop for Oakland Tech students-this is not an acceptable business for something so close to a high school.

I am totally opposed to letting AB set up shop here. They are not invested in Oakland, and I don't want any giant corporate businesses in my neighborhood. I am also opposed to the design. Shipping containers are OK in an industrial zone or right next to the freeway, but Broadway and 40th deserve a much much better design and investment in infrastructure.

There are already lots of TRULY local breweries and pubs in the neighborhood. I'm opposed to this corporate-owned project's scale, design, and all the negative neighborhood impacts. Please, NO!

This is not a good fit for our Neighborhood. I don't Golden Road or ABInBev's business and labor practices and won't patronize their establishment. Regardless, if they insist on opening in Oakland, they should be required to repurpose an existing establishment. There is no need for additional shipping containers in the neighborhood when there are plenty of buildings that need to be rehabilitated. This is totally different than the space at 40th and MLK in that those shipping containers provide micro- spaces to artists and small business owners. Neither of those terms remotely applies to Golden Road.

This development should not be permitted unless it comes with substantial infrastructure improvements (e.g., parking) for the community and a design sensitive to the concerns of nearby residents.

I am in favor of small local breweries who support the local communities. I donow believe that a large conglomerate can achieve the same values and business practices as local business and I sincerely oppose the building of a "beer garden" by Anhauser Busch
