How about Michael Spyridon Soukeras? This way he gets the best of both grandfathers. I do not like the name Hristos as I have no idea how to pronounce it.

I love ethnic names. My grown daughter has an ethnic name. It's Celtic and hard to spell and pronounce but it totally fits her and has encouraged many interestig conversations in her life. None of them were negative.

Definetly go with Spyridon. IT's more unique, and its tradition. THe mother shouldn't get to name the girl as well as a boy. A father should name his son, and the mother should be happy she has a son.

I like un-common names. Michael is a nice name, but very over used, I agree with that. Syridon is different, but not so different than what his parents are named. I like it, but that's just my humble opinion. Just don't name the baby something the other parent will resent for sure.

Unique name, as mine is. Didn't necessarily like it growing up but am glad that my name is different now that I am grown. I say go for it, Dad!!

Spyridon is a great authentic Greek name. I have about as generic name as it comes. I think ultimately the name would be shortened to "Spy" in casual speak.

We should celebrate our origins and the tradition of passing down names is a strong and honorable one. Make the child's middle name Michael and he can always choose to go by that when he gets older.
