Tradition is so important! I'm Italian and that is our tradition as well. The children are first named after the baby's paternal grandparents. Team Spyros!

Absolutely name a male child Spyridon!! I love your name and family names are IMPORTANT! Your reasoning, rationale, and concessions are beyond fair!! Besides, aren't there enough "Michaels" in the world? And Mischa [shiver]...why not Lindsey for good measure.

Great name. It's a family name and should be passed on to continue the tradition. The more I say it, the more I love Spyridon!

They should just call the son Spiro which is so easy to say and no problem. They could name him Spyridon Nicholas Soukeras and call him 'Spiro' and when hes older he can decide if he wants to be called 'Spiro' Spyrdon or Niko which is such a cool name. My father's mother was greek so he named me after her, I think its awesome.

I don't care what you want to name him. I just want you to win a fight with your wife, since I don't win any with mine. :)

It's our tradition! Spyro (Speero) for short. Michael? how ordinary!. He will always know why he was given that name and who he was named after, his pappou!

I think it's a great name, it's different and has meaning and family history behind it.
