It's a family name and much more interesting than Michael.

If the baby is a girl and they both agree to name her after her mom I think the father has the same right for his son. He can be called Spyridon Michael Soukeras!

It is a unique name, but I like the idea of keeping family names going. Perhaps they could use Michael as the middle name and then come up with a nickname they both agree on.

Not really that strange a name, and I like that it is after the grandfather. Mama's name looks harder to pronounce for me.

The name, while not common, and I know many Greeks, holds onto family tradition and heritage.

Damn right should be able to name him what you want. - Especially if it's a first son. I wanted to do Marcus Liam Booth so his initials would be MLB and it got trumped. 5 years and 3 boys later... I still think about it. I hope you reach your goal.

What about naming him (if it is a HIM) Michael Syridon, and calling him "Spy" for short? Both need to compromise, that is what good relationships are made of, give and take!
Spiderman ftw!
