Spyridon is a beautiful name, but as most Americans would mangle the pronunciation, I suggest a compromise of Michael Spyridon. It has a MUCH better rhythm and therefore more lyrical sound.

Although I dislike the name, "Spyridon", I feel that this father has made many concessions in order to accommodate his wife's desires. He asks only one simple thing. Marriage is about compromise. He has shown his willingness to make a compromise, I believe she should accept the gesture as offered and respect his feelings in this matter.
